《巫妖王之怒》安装界面：阿尔萨斯王子的堕落（组图）
一些德国媒体已经拿到了《[color=#922f00]巫妖王之怒[/color]》的安装版客户端。与以往的安装程序不同的是，暴雪这一次在安装过程中采用了类似幻灯片的方式来顺序播放一系列图片，而这些图片的内容，正是讲述了阿尔萨斯如何从一名人类王子转变为天灾之王的。
相信所有玩过《[url=http://www.baigoo.com/cn/s.htm?q=%c4%a7%ca%de&pid=bg]魔兽[/url]争霸3》的玩家对这段历史都耳熟能详，不过显然，这样做可以让枯燥的安装工作变得更加有乐趣，也会加深新玩家们对阿尔萨斯——《[color=#922f00]巫妖王之怒[/color]》中的绝对主角的理解。
阿尔萨斯·米奈希尔王子，生于第一次战争爆发的4年前。他的父亲——泰瑞纳斯二世国王和他的母亲——莱恩女王因他的降生而兴奋不已，洛丹伦也因此举国欢庆。
在阿尔萨斯19岁时，他遵循父亲的教诲加入了白银之手骑士团，圣骑士乌瑟尔·光明使者则成为了他的导师。
5年后，阿尔萨斯与巫师吉安娜·普罗德摩尔一同开始研究一种致命的瘟疫，受这种瘟疫影响的人都变成了亡灵大军的士兵——这个亡灵军队实际上就是天灾军团。
阿尔萨斯与吉安娜找到了散播这场瘟疫的通灵师克尔苏加德，并将其处死。但不幸的，斯坦索姆城最终还是被瘟疫感染，阿尔萨斯下令对该城进行“大清洗”。
最终，阿尔萨斯遇到了这场瘟疫的幕后主使，恐惧魔王玛尔加尼斯。在激战过后，恐惧魔王失败了，而在逃离前玛尔加尼斯向阿尔萨斯挑衅，欲与其在诺森德大地上一决雌雄。
在登上诺森德的寒冰海岸后不久，阿尔萨斯偶遇一伙正在被天灾进攻的矮人，这伙矮人在其领导人穆拉丁·铜须的带领下，正在搜寻一把上古神剑，符文剑霜之哀伤。
在乌瑟尔的劝言下，泰瑞纳斯国王向阿尔萨斯发出了立刻回到洛丹伦的指令，阿尔萨斯的兵士们也非常渴盼回家。
但是，阿尔萨斯已经被复仇的怒火冲昏了头脑，一心想要击败玛尔加尼斯，于是他雇佣了当地的雇佣兵，秘密的将人类部队的船只摧毁了。
在船只被摧毁的同时，阿尔萨斯公然的背叛了这些雇佣兵，宣称他们应该对这起事件负责。这些雇佣兵随后被愤怒的阿尔萨斯部队杀害了。
在诺森德的深处，人类部队殊死抵抗天灾的进攻。与此同时，阿尔萨斯和穆拉丁发现了藏于冰中的霜之哀伤。
面对这把被诅咒的神兵，阿尔萨斯发誓他会为了胜利不择手段。突然间，覆盖在霜之哀伤上的冰层崩坏，冰片四溅，其中有一片直刺穆拉丁。
手握这把符文剑的阿尔萨斯，领导着他的部队走向胜利。但此时的玛尔加尼斯仍然自信满满，他解释道正是天灾之主巫妖王导演了这一切，巫妖王的意图就是让阿尔萨斯将霜之哀伤带给他。
玛尔加尼斯自称是巫妖王联盟中的一员，不过，巫妖王通过霜之哀伤告诉阿尔萨斯，了结他的时候到了。面带恶毒的微笑，阿尔萨斯将这惊诧的恐惧魔王手刃。
在这之后，阿尔萨斯在诺森德的寒冷荒野上漫无目的的游荡，在饱受霜之哀伤对其心灵的折磨后，他最终选择屈服于巫妖王。
受符文剑黑暗意志的驱使，阿尔萨斯终于回家了，他受到了英雄般的欢迎，国王也充满信任的敞开双臂等待儿子的拥抱。
阿尔萨斯亲手杀死了他的父亲，并让天灾军对在洛丹伦大地上任意肆虐。随后他找到了克尔苏加德的遗体，把它带到了高等精灵王国，奎尔萨拉斯。
精灵们进行了顽强的抵抗，但终是不敌无尽的天灾大军。阿尔萨斯击败了游侠将军希尔瓦纳斯·风行者，作为反对他的惩罚，阿尔萨斯将风行者变为了一个女妖。
作为一名亡灵，希尔瓦纳斯屈服于巫妖王的钢铁意志。在她的帮助下，天灾成功的控制了精灵奥术能量的来源——太阳之井。
利用太阳之井的能量，阿尔萨斯将克尔苏加德复活成了一名亡灵巫妖。此时恶魔领主阿克蒙德命令阿尔萨斯和他的新同伴去寻找一本麦迪文的魔法书。
天灾随后入侵了达拉然城邦，这里的法师正守护着这本魔法书。最终，达拉然沦陷，克尔苏加德成功的利用这本书将阿克蒙德召唤到艾泽拉斯。
在阿克蒙德的军队开始入侵艾泽拉斯的同时，阿尔萨斯说服了恶魔猎手伊利丹，要想阻止阿克蒙德的计划，需要他去盗取一件重要的魔法神器——古尔丹的头颅。
伊利丹的举动注定了阿克蒙德的失败。然而，胜利是短暂的，巫妖王命令阿尔萨斯返回诺森德。
在诺森德，阿尔萨斯遭遇了在天灾入侵奎尔萨拉斯时幸存的精灵，这些精灵现在受伊利丹的指挥并且正在计划进攻巫妖王。
在地穴领主阿努巴拉克的带领下，亡灵蛛怪协助阿尔萨斯抵御这些精灵，但伊利丹的主力部队已经开动到了巫妖王的腹地——寒冰皇冠。
阿尔萨斯认为一切都结束了，但阿努巴拉克指出了一条捷径，上古地下王国艾卓-尼鲁布。
通过这条捷径，阿尔萨斯成功的在寒冰皇冠的山峰上拦截住了伊利丹。在随后的一场决斗中，阿尔萨斯获胜了，并命令伊利丹离开艾泽拉斯并永不回归。
阿尔萨斯进入了寒冰皇冠城堡，与巫妖王的精神和力量进行了融合——新的巫妖王诞生了。
巫妖王沉睡了5年，等待了5年。现在他醒来了……他的怒火会令艾泽拉斯永无生息。
